Frequently Asked Questions
Simple answers to the most common questions. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, give us a call—we’re here to help.
Where exactly is the hotel located?
We are in the heart of Orvieto's historic center, at 18 Via Luca Signorelli, just 200 meters from the Cathedral. No buses, shuttles, or detours are required—the hotel is right in the most vibrant part of the city.
Can I drive directly to the hotel?
Yes. One of the practical advantages of Hotel Posta is that we are located outside the ZTL (limited traffic zone). You can drive directly to the entrance to unload your luggage, with no time restrictions.
The most convenient parking area is Piazza Ippolito Scalza, just 20 meters from the hotel. Parking is free with a parking disc between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM.
Is parking available?
We do not have a private parking area, but Orvieto offers several convenient parking options nearby.
The closest is Piazza Ippolito Scalza, located virtually in front of the hotel and free of charge. Alternatively, Piazza Marconi offers another unattended parking area within walking distance.
If you prefer covered and secure parking, Campo della Fiera provides a convenient option with a direct elevator connection to the historic center. Most parking facilities in Orvieto can be paid for using the MyCicero app.
What type of breakfast is included?
Breakfast is a traditional Italian-style continental breakfast, featuring homemade cakes and tarts, local cured meats and cheeses, honey, jams, and freshly baked bread.
Coffee, cappuccino, and tea are served daily. During the summer months, breakfast is enjoyed in the inner garden.
This is not an international buffet—it is a genuine breakfast, prepared every morning with carefully selected ingredients.
Is there a garden?
Yes. The palace features an inner courtyard where, during the warmer months, guests can enjoy breakfast outdoors.
It is one of the quietest and most relaxing areas of the hotel: historic stone walls, morning light, and an atmosphere free from rush and distractions.
Do the rooms have air conditioning?
Not all rooms are equipped with air conditioning. Palazzo Guidoni is a 16th-century stone building, and its thick walls help maintain a naturally cool temperature even during the summer months.
However, every room is equipped with a ceiling fan. For guests who appreciate the quiet comfort of a night without air conditioning, Palazzo Guidoni offers a naturally pleasant environment.
